International Spring School on Advanced Materials

Irbid, Jordan, 30 April – 1 May, 2019

Welcome to the Fourth International Symposium on Dielectric Materials and Applications (ISyDMA 4) organized by the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, University of Science and Technology, Irbid, Jordan and The Jordanian Club of Humboldt Fellows JCHF in cooperation with Moroccan Association of Advanced Materials and Moroccan Society of Applied Physics. After three prestigious editions, ISyDMA 1 (Rabat-Kenitra, Morocco, 4-6 May 2016), ISyDMA 2 (Bucharest, Romania, 11-14 July 2017) and ISyDMA 3 (Beni Mellal, Morocco,18-20 April 2018), a Fourth edition of ISyDMA will be held in Amman, Jordan from 2 to 4 May 2019. The ISyDMA 4 event will provide an international forum for reporting the recent developments in advanced dielectric materials and applications. It consists of technical sessions and keynote and tutorial sessions covering several hot topics in dielectric materials advances.

The goal of the ISyDMA 4 symposium is to provide a platform for researchers, scientists from all over the world to exchange ideas and to hold wide ranging discussions on recent developments in dielectric materials and their innovative applications. It is addressed to materials scientists, physicists, chemists, biologists, and electrical engineers engaged in fundamental and applied research or technical investigations on such materials.

Due to the success of our first three-day Pre-Conference School at ISyDMA 3 in Marrakech, Morocco from 15 to 17 April 2018, we proudly present our call for the Pre-Conference: Spring School on Advanced Materials which will be held from 30 April – 1 May, 2019, in Irbid, Jordan. The scope of this Spring School is to familiarize students with the state of the art in advanced materials for different applications. The target audience for the Pre-Conference School is graduate students and junior researchers (PhD students, postdocs).

In addition to the scientific program of these two events, the attendees will have a chance to discover the beauty of Jordan, the land of rich history and multicultural mosaic. Numerous social events are also programmed to accompany and follow the scientific activities that will provide opportunities to renew old contacts and establish new ones. They also aim at acquainting the participants with the capital Amman and other famous historic and touristic sites in Jordan, such as Umm Qais, Jarash, Petra one of the second seven world wonders and the Dead Sea. The social program will be extraordinary, reflecting the Jordanian sense of hospitality and generosity combined with fun, for the participants and their companions.
