and the Publishing Committee member,
passed away on July 30, 2022, at the age of 66.

Dear Participants,

Dear Colleagues,

The Seventh International Symposium on Dielectric Materials and Applications ISyDMA’7 conference, which for the first time was held in Poznań, Poland, has ended, so it’s time for a summary.  The ISyDMA’7 Meeting was organized by the Institute of Molecular Physics Polish Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Faculty of Physics of Adam Mickiewicz University and its Foundation – the official Organizers. I want to thank the members of the Executive Committee of ISyDMA for the opportunity to organize the Conference in Poznań and for supervising its implementation. We are happy we had a chance to host the ISyDMA’7 conference in Poznań – an academic city with several solid research groups working on the material sciences. I believe that this has come as a recognition of our long tradition.  The organizing committee of the conference ISyDMA’7 and the UAM Foundation did everything in their power to organize the ISyDMA7 Conference in these uncertain and challenging times as best as possible. In short:

  • As many as 100 participants from multiple global research centers took part in the conference;
  • we published  a book of abstracts available on the conference website;
  • 11 invited lectures were given;
  • 25 oral presentations were delivered;
  • eight oral presentations were given in the Young Scientists session;
  • 14 posters were presented;
  • Three diplomas were awarded for the best oral presentation in the Young Scientists session and three for the best posters;

All registered participants will receive a certificate for their contribution to the conference.

I am very grateful to the Session Chairmen and all Participants for their contribution to the success of this Meeting.

I hope the Meeting once again provided a forum for sharing ideas, presenting research findings, discussing recent developments in dielectric materials and their innovative applications, and initiating new international and multilateral cooperation between scientists from various global centers.
